Loissin has a rather long (not too wide) sandy beach equally loved by kiters and windsurfers. There’s a large area with shallow water where you’re able to stand.
Can ride at West to Est.
Can get many people in summer, but usually not that overcrowded.
Directions:
• Car: from Greifswald take directions to Lubmin/Wolgast. After 10 km turn left (Neuendorf) and follow the signs to Loissin/Gahlkow. Get to Loissin and take road “Zum Strand” and thenturn right into “Am Strandweg” and drive to its end and park.
Wind details:
Temperatures: air temperature from April to October ranges from 10 to 30°C and water from 10-20°C. Wetsuit always recommended. Off-season is possible, but thick wetsuit, mask, shoes and gloves are needed. • Wind: best season is in spring and autumn. Summer gets lighter winds. Conditions can vary a lot, from 0 up to 10 Bft. Can get nice NE in summer.
